Behind the scenes

Why we are building Pabiosoft

Translated with AI

Over the years, big tech companies have made us dependent on software that keeps getting more complex and harder to use. The user experience keeps declining, yet the dependency they’ve built keeps us locked in: switching tools is expensive, in time and in money. That complexity carries a cost that SMBs and businesses in the Global South often struggle to absorb.

The shift to the cloud hasn’t really helped them either. Take Microsoft 365: there’s no way to pay for Word alone. The subscription forces the full suite on you (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, storage) even when a single tool would do. The subscription model replaced “I buy what I need” with bundles designed to maximize retention, not actual usefulness to the customer.

Pabiosoft starts with a simple belief: the best software emerges when we first understand the human and business problem it should solve, not when we stack features to justify a subscription.

A product company and a studio

We build our own products, including Datadia, and bring the same standards to companies with an idea to launch, an internal tool to modernize or a digital product to accelerate.

That dual focus is intentional. Building our products forces us to think long term, listen to users and own every technical decision. Working with other teams exposes us to different realities and makes our craft stronger.

What we stand for

  • products that are simple to understand and pleasant to use;
  • robust engineering that matches the actual need;
  • transparent collaboration without needless jargon;
  • shared knowledge through documentation and training.

This journal will host lessons from our work, guides for our tools and broader notes on technology. Welcome to Pabiosoft.
